Treo Nua Portlaoise Resource Centre
Treo Nua Portlaoise Resource Centre is a community centre with shared services for all the community. The anchor tenants are key to the direct delivery of a wide range of services throughout the building. In addition, it is a core function of Treo Nua, to attract in other agencies to utilise the training, meeting and community facilities in the building to deliver services.
Various community, leisure, & training groups use the facility on a regular basis. The large community room is utilised in the evenings and at weekends for various local groups including sports, music, support and church groups.
The following outlines in detail how each element of Treo Nua Portlaoise resource centre is used to provide a wide variety of services to our community:
Reception The Resource Centre opens from 9am to 6pm but due to demand, these hours are extended almost daily in order to provide a fully accessible centre during the evenings and at weekends. The staff at the reception area will meet and greet centre users, ensure visitors sign in and out, take room bookings, operate the phone system, monitor the security systems and deal with queries and enquiries.
Meeting Rooms Treo Nua Portlaoise Resource Centre has a variety of Meeting Rooms available for booking by Organisations, Businesses and Individuals for Meetings, Workshops and Training Days at competitive rates. All Rooms have projectors, white boards and Flip Charts and can be set up to suit each booking.
Suaimhness Community Childcare The creche offers childcare services to the local community and working parents. 0578686158
Family Resource Centre (FRC) The FRC provide a range of community and family supports and services, for all individuals, adults, children and families to support them in managing the challenges of daily life both big and small.
HSE Primary Care Facility The HSE provide a range of community support services from the premises, including Public Health Nursing, support for parents, various therapy services, dressing clinics and other services to meet the needs of the local community.
Laois County Council Office Laois County Council provide services throughout the building.
